How is sachet/stick packing process from filling to carton?
A complete sachet/stick packaging line is generally divided into the following stages:
- Feeding Pouch & Forming by Filling Cutting of Film: The apparatus unwinds film and gets it into stick or sachet shape.
- Filling & Sealing: Liquid, powder or gel product is dispensed, filled and sealed into individual pouches.
- Cutting & Counting: The filled pouches are cut and collected in predetermined counts (10, 20, or 30 pcs).
- Automatic Transfer: The aligned pouch groups are directed for delivery to the cartoning section.
- Cartoning & Final Packing: Cases are opened, packed, sealed, and stacked for shipping or display.
This approach eliminates manual handling and allows for rapid, reliable, and repeatable packaging.
Sachet vs. Stick Pack: What are the key considerations when choosing sachet stick packaging line
Choosing between a sachet and stick pack format—and the corresponding packaging line—depends on your product type, branding strategy, and market needs.
Questions & Answers: What You Wanted To Know About Compatibility, Speed & Integration Issues
- Q1: Is the packaging line capable of accommodating various size pouches or products?
A: Yes — within limits. "The majority of our lines are built with adjustable forming and filling modules, so it is easy to change between sizes or products." If the products are too different (such as dry and liquid products), it is suggested to equip other filling heads or whole filling line for best optimal performance.
- Q2: What is the average production speed? Will it make me hit my daily production targets?
A: It depends on your product and how many lanes the system has. For instance, a 4-Lane stick pack machine can achieve 100-150 packs per minute with ease and does not get left behind coupled with the cartoning system. We can assist you in determining precise capacity according to your packaging specifications and target output.
- Q3: Will it be difficult or require additional staff for the integration into a cartoner?
A: No extra staff needed. Our transfer units automatically count, stack, and load stick/sachet packs into the cartoner with no manual interference. We also provide turnkey installation, so you don’t have to worry about machine interfacing or line balance.
- Q4: What happens if something goes wrong in the middle of production?
A: Downtime is every manufacturer's nightmare. That’s why our lines are equipped with real-time monitoring, fault alarms and emergency stops. We also have remote diagnostics and local service teams in numerous countries to get you back up and running fast.
